Tribe of Shimon

Tribe of Shimon

Shimon is the second son of Jacob Mella, and brother of Reuven. In the Torah, the character of Shimon is described as complex and sometimes even problematic. He is best known for his involvement, together with his brother Levi, in the Dina affair in Nablus, where they brutally avenged the rape of their sister. This act was strongly criticized by their father Jacob. Shimon was also one of the leaders in the conspiracy against Joseph. Later, he was chosen by Joseph to remain in Egypt as a hostage. Jacob's blessing to his sons, Shimon receives a rebuke along with Levi for their violent actions. In the blessing of Moses, Shimon is not mentioned directly, and some say that his blessing will be revealed in the days of the Messiah.

Leah's blessing at birth (Genesis 29)

"Then she became with child again, and gave birth to a son; and said, Because it has come to the Lord's ears that I am not loved, he has given me this son in addition: and she gave him the name Simeon"

Jacob's Blessing (Genesis 49)

"Simeon and Levi are brothers; deceit and force are their secret designs.
Take no part in their secrets, O my soul; keep far away, O my heart, from their meetings; for in their wrath they put men to death, and for their pleasure even oxen were wounded.
A curse on their passion for it was bitter; and on their wrath for it was cruel. I will let their heritage in Jacob be broken up, driving them from their places in Israel."

Spiritual role

The tribe of Shimon came to help sharpen and develop the sense of hearing in the world, listening to the higher inner truth and the ability to hear sounds hidden from the seeing eye. They have the ability to transform and heal and the ability to reconnect people to the belief that there is someone who hears them. Received the blessing of transforming negative energy of anger into positive emotions As those who received from their birth the emotion of hatred that Leah felt, they learn in their lives how to make lemonade out of lemons and teach those around them how to develop strong mental powers that can help anyone in any situation.

Spiritual correction

Coping with complex emotions: anger processing and experiencing lack of love, rage and desire for revenge, need to feel trusted

Personal growth: collaborations and friendship, working in pairs (mentions friendship with Levi and alliance with Yehuda.)

Relationships: Respectful relationships without games, mutual respect, healthy sexuality issues

A sense of justice: working for the correction of burdens

Inner balance: act from the midline, share knowledge with others when required, respond calmly and pleasantly

"I am here present in the region of the country and call upon all my ancestors from the tribe of Shimon to support me. I hear the voices of others without identifying myself. I am expanding the auditory canal and connecting all the prayers of the people of Israel with patience and faith. In my life, I work to transform people's pain and listen to their hearts."

Mantra for healing: Hear me and my voice

Jacob's greetings to his sons

The book of Genesis ends with a series of blessings of Jacob's instructions to his sons, the tribes of Israel. The Torah commentators were faced with the question: What is the essence of blessings? What is the overall message that our forefather Jacob sought to convey to us? Let's look a little at the content of the blessings: Reuben, as the firstborn, deserved to be king. But he was rejected because he was "carbonated as water," meaning that his recklessness might
